Well here we are for another round of writing on the blog, I feel the last review of Suicide went over well so I figure that I should probably talk about some the items we have in the store.
Today our selection of CLAE sneakers arrived, have any of you actually heard about CLAE sneakers? because I sure didn’t when I stumbled across them at the KNOWSHOW in Vancouver.
I spent some time talking with rep at the time and after looking at both CLAE and JasonMarrk (JM is a shoe cleaning products that actually works, don’t worry I’m dirtying up a pair of K-Swiss white Washburns so I can do a video on how JM works).
The CLAE shoes really took me by surprise. The design and type of materials that are used in the construction and the colors that they combined to create their distinct collection.
There are two shoes I am going to talk about in particular.
The first is called the Ellingtion SP. Now it is a low cut sneaker that has good lines and looks more formal than expected. The feature that really got to me about this sneaker was the instant wow factor of the blue suede. I instantly thought of a shoe company called common projects, which is an Italian sneaker and costs around $450 or something like that.
The rich blue colour really spoke to me on many levels, during the buying phase I really looked at what could match with this sneaker. I came to the conclusion that I would not wear this with a suit unless I was feeling particularly daring but with a light kaki, chino or perhaps a blazer and lighter pair of grey dress pants.
The second shoe I want to talk about is called the Hoffman. So as it turns out when I first opened the box I thought I blacked out when I placed the order because it seems to be against the norm of what we carry in the store. Then after a few moments the world came into focus and I remembered why I brought these particular shoes in. 3 simple reasons; 1. They are interesting, 2. The colors, the mohave mixed with navy blue and just minor hints of grey and 3. The weight, they are light, practically a feather on your feat. If your looking for a sneaker adventure the Hoffman could be what you are looking for.
I hope that this quick insight into CLAE was helpful. You can check the other styles out on our online store.
